* Genes from both parents contribute to hair loss. A genetically linked hair loss/thinning disease is Androgenic Alopecia.
* This is totally untrue. As 100 brush strokes can damage your hair rather than making them healthy. It is more destructive for thinning and fragile hair. For such hair gentle combing is needed and tangle should be removed with the help of your fingers.
* Several websites refuse this general concept. But it is suggested in the books of trichology, that for fragile and thinning hair extra care should be taken. For this purpose gentle shampoos should be used rather than heavily medicated ones. As medicated shampoos can damage the scalp, and brushing should be gentle too. Pulling the hair to separate any tangle should be avoided. So it depends on what you use to wash your hair, not how much you wash.
* Although patients with poor blood circulation do not appear to be more likely to suffer from alopecia. Very few people suffer from hair loss causing wigs and tight fitting hats. The mechanism is not clear
* But if it happens, it is may be due to the impairment of blood flow in the scalp. Those people who suffer from alpecia, they should do intense care using hats and wigs.
